Require product-specific terms at checkout
Product specific Terms & Conditions associates a list of policies and optional PDF copies with each WooCommerce product. Customers must accept the displayed set in classic Checkout or the Checkout Block.
Enable it under Settings → POM Tweaks → E-Commerce → Accounts & privacy → Product specific Terms & Conditions.
The same enabled tweak can preserve the shop's general terms PDF. Configure it beside the native terms page in WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → Page setup. You do not need to repeat the general terms on every product.
Complete workflow
- Edit a WooCommerce product.
- Open Product data → Terms & Conditions.
- Choose Add terms and enter URL and, when a copy should be attached, PDF URL.
- Repeat for every policy and update the product.
- Confirm the policy links appear beside the add-to-cart form.
- Add the product to the cart and verify the complete checkout list.
- Complete an order and confirm its email includes the accepted links and configured PDF attachments.
Variations inherit the complete parent list.
Stored evidence
Successful checkout captures the policy URLs, affected product names, acceptance time, source order, and exact PDF copies. Later changes to products or source documents do not rewrite that acceptance. Private PDF addresses remain server-side; they are not customer download links.
With WooCommerce Subscriptions, acceptance and captured PDFs are copied to the subscription and renewal orders. Historical records without a snapshot can show current policy associations as a clearly labeled fallback, without presenting current PDFs as evidence of past acceptance.

Disabling the tweak stops its links, validation, and email attachments. Existing order and subscription records remain stored and are available again when the tweak is enabled.
