Order products in the cart

Use Settings → POM Tweaks → E-Commerce → Cart & checkout → Cart product order to control the order of cart and checkout lines. WooCommerce must be active.

1. Enable Cart product order and click Save.
2. Choose Order: Default, Alphabetically, or By category.
3. Click Save and add several products to the cart.
4. Check the resulting order in the cart and checkout, including after adding another product.

Alphabetical order uses a natural, case-insensitive comparison: Item 2 precedes Item 10. Category order follows the order configured in Products → Categories. A variation uses its parent product's categories; a product assigned to several categories uses the earliest of them. Products without categories appear last. Tied lines retain their existing order.

The setting applies to the classic cart and checkout and to WooCommerce cart and checkout blocks. It preserves quantities, prices and additional line information. Default leaves WooCommerce's current order unchanged.

If the order does not change, confirm that the module is enabled and a non-default order is saved. Custom cart templates must use WooCommerce's cart data to receive this ordering.
