What POM Tweaks does
POM Tweaks is a collection of optional WordPress and WooCommerce behavior modules. It is designed for focused changes: an administrator can enable one feature without adopting an entire optimization, administration, media, SEO, or commerce suite.
The catalog includes tools for WordPress administration, login and registration, content, media, email, RSS, updates, SEO, and WooCommerce. Some modules change a small filter or screen; others perform lasting work such as renaming media, optimizing files, generating a PDF catalog, recording checkout evidence, or assigning order numbers.
One POM Framework interface
All current modules appear under Settings → POM Tweaks, grouped into sections such as White labelling, Content, Media, Optimization, SEO & LLMs, and E-Commerce. On multisite, network policies appear under Network Admin → Settings → POM Tweaks.
The former Settings → Tweaks page has been removed. The classic catalog helps you find current modules by their earlier feature names. Several older controls can share a single module.
What enabling a modern module means
POM Tweaks loads a modern module’s runtime only when that module is enabled. If a modern module is disabled, its feature code is not loaded and it cannot register that module’s hooks, enqueue its assets, or run its feature queries.
The plugin’s shared bootstrap, administration, settings, licensing, translation, and update code still loads while POM Tweaks is active. “Disabled” therefore means that the individual feature is absent, not that the complete plugin performs no work.
Dependencies are feature-specific
WordPress itself is the base requirement. Additional products are needed only by the tweaks that integrate with them:
- WooCommerce modules require WooCommerce and must be tested against the store journeys they change.
- The modern availability finder is shown only when WooCommerce Bookings is active.
- The modern default-language SEO module is shown only when Polylang Pro is active.
Other modules may depend on a server tool, image library, theme hook, editor, payment flow, or content structure. Check the individual guide before enabling the feature; installing POM Tweaks does not make every integration applicable.
What POM Tweaks does not guarantee
POM Tweaks does not decide whether two enabled modules are compatible with every theme, plugin, or site-specific customization. WordPress hooks allow several components to affect the same output, and their priorities or business rules may overlap.
It also does not make every change reversible by switching a checkbox off. Disabling a hook-based presentation change normally stops future output, but it does not necessarily undo files already optimized, media already renamed, order data already written, messages already sent, or other completed actions.
Use Enable tweaks safely on a production site to classify a change before applying it.
