Customize the final checkout button

Use Order button text to replace the final Place order label in classic WooCommerce checkout and Checkout blocks. The change affects the button's text; WooCommerce retains its normal validation and payment processing.

This guide is for store administrators using WooCommerce and POM Tweaks. The setting applies to the current site.

Set the label

  1. Open Settings → POM Tweaks → E-Commerce → Cart & checkout.
  2. Find Order button text and select Enable.
  3. Enter your preferred plain-text label in Order button text, for example Confirm my order.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Put a product in the cart and open checkout. If the checkout has several steps, continue to the payment step without submitting the order.

The final order button should display your label. The field supports the site's configured string translation integration. Check each storefront language when using translated labels. HTML is not supported.

Compatibility and scope

An explicit payment button label configured in POM Theme, or a payment gateway that supplies its own button or label, can take precedence. This preserves their existing behavior. Verify each payment method customers can select.

The setting does not rename Continue to checkout, the separate Pay for order button on an existing order, or buttons supplied by express payment integrations.

Keep or restore the original label

Leave Order button text empty to preserve the label supplied by WooCommerce, the theme and other integrations. Alternatively, clear Enable and save to turn off the tweak entirely. Saved orders are not changed.

If the label does not appear, check that the tweak is enabled and non-empty, then review any custom payment button setting in the theme or selected gateway. Clear storefront caches and compare the final order button rather than a navigation or express-payment button.
