Keep WordPress from emptying Trash automatically

Open Settings → POM Tweaks → Content → General, enable Retain trashed content, and save.

Stop WordPress scheduled removal of trashed posts and comments on the current site. Manual permanent deletion and other scheduled tasks remain available. Disabling resumes normal retention, including older items; restore needed items first.
