Understand coupon balance across orders

The coupon’s normal WooCommerce amount is the remaining balance. After each eligible payment completion, POM Tweaks subtracts the discount recorded on that order’s coupon line.

Example sequence

Event Discount used Coupon amount afterward
Initial fixed-cart coupon — €100
First paid order €35 €65
Second paid order €20 €45
Order uses full remaining amount €45 €45

When the recorded discount is equal to or greater than the current amount, the module does not change the coupon amount. WooCommerce usage limits, expiry, and normal coupon validity still determine whether the coupon can be used again.

Customer-email restriction

If Allowed emails is populated, the balance changes only when the order billing email exactly matches an allowed entry. Test casing and the format saved by WooCommerce using the actual checkout workflow.

Operational checks

  1. Set an explicit usage-limit policy appropriate to the voucher.
  2. Complete, rather than merely place, the staging order.
  3. Compare the order coupon discount with the new coupon amount.
  4. Review Coupon usage history.
  5. Place a second eligible order.
  6. Test an ineligible email and a non-fixed_cart coupon.

Disabling Partial coupons stops later balance adjustments. It does not restore amounts already reduced.
