Enable maintenance mode

Open Settings → POM Tweaks → Content → Maintenance, enable Maintenance mode, and save. Configure Browser tab title, choose Custom HTML or Existing page, and save the page content or published page ID.

Logged-out visitors receive HTTP 503 maintenance responses. Logged-in users retain normal access. Save a Preview token and use Preview website with saved token to grant a reviewer two days of browser access without a WordPress account. Generating and saving a new token revokes previous links and cookies.

Frontend URLs that WordPress identifies as missing keep HTTP 404 and still display the maintenance page without exposing protected content.

Disable the module and save to restore the normal frontend. Purge page caches when enabling or disabling maintenance. Content and users are not modified.

Read Show a maintenance page and share preview access for setup, page fallback, token renewal, endpoint scope, verification, and cache requirements.
