Integrate an external translation workflow safely

POM Translate has no public PHP adapter for replacing POM AI. A project that uses another translation service should keep that service outside the plugin and exchange reviewed translations through supported product interfaces.

One safe workflow is:

1. Open Settings → POM Translate → Tools → Translation maintenance and select Export translations.
2. Translate the exported source values in the external system.
3. Preserve each source value exactly so POM Translate can match it during import.
4. Keep protected placeholders unchanged.
5. Set only a supported workflow status.
6. Import the reviewed JSON into the same site and locale.
7. Inspect a small representative sample before importing the remaining files.

This workflow does not provide live provider calls, automatic credit tracking, or background retries. Those capabilities belong to the built-in POM AI integration.

If another plugin generates stable interface copy, register that copy with pom_translate_register_string() instead of inventing a provider adapter. POM Translate can then include it in its normal editor and POM AI queue.
