Machine translation with POM AI
POM Translate can fill unresolved translations through the POM AI service. POM Translate decides what is translatable, groups related strings, protects structural markers, stores the result, and renders it on the site. POM AI supplies the translated wording and charges the POM AI account that authorized the current domain.
Automatic translation is optional. Manual editing, language-prefixed routes, stored translations, selectors, and source-language fallback continue to work without it.
A safe setup order
- Confirm the automatic-translation requirements.
- Connect the separate POM AI license and verify the current domain.
- Add a useful business short description.
- Add translator notes only when the whole site needs them.
- Set local word, string, error, and backoff limits.
- Estimate the first run, translate a small representative sample, and review it.
- Expand the run only after terminology, formatting, links, and locale conventions are correct.
Where the controls live
- Settings → POM AI → License manages the POM AI key, authorized domain, and account balance.
- Settings → POM AI → AI Setup provides the business short description used as translation context.
- Settings → POM Translate → Advanced → LLM translation settings controls background translation, local daily limits, error handling, and translator notes.
- Translations → Generate pending translations shows browser progress, the scheduled queue, and the Machine Translation Status card.
- Translations → Translate contents and Other translations are where editors review stored results.
Frontend page views never contact POM AI. If no usable translation has been stored, POM Translate displays the source text.
