Read translated term values

pom_translate_get_term_name( $term, ?string $locale = null ) and pom_translate_get_term_description() accept a term ID or object.

$name = pom_translate_get_term_name( $term_id, 'de_DE' );
$description = pom_translate_get_term_description( $term_id, 'de_DE' );

They use the current locale when none is supplied and return the source field when the locale is base, the taxonomy is not enabled, or no translation exists. Invalid terms return an empty string.

These helpers translate the displayed name and description, not the archive URL. Build a localized term link with WordPress and pom_translate_get_localized_url().

Escape names as text and descriptions according to the markup allowed by the consuming template. Test hierarchical terms independently because their localized URLs depend on the complete ancestor path.
