Authorize the current site domain
Every POM Translate machine-translation request identifies the host returned for the current WordPress site. POM AI accepts the request only when that host is authorized by the supplied POM AI license.
Authorize from WordPress
Saving a POM AI key normally validates the license and authorizes the current host in the same operation:
- open Settings → POM AI → License;
- enter the POM AI key;
- select Save and validate;
- confirm the success notice states that the domain is authorized;
- compare the displayed Domain with the actual site host.
The comparison matters after a migration, staging-to-production move, hostname change, or multisite subsite creation.
Authorize from the account
The license owner can also manage authorized hosts from My Account → POM AI Management on account.pom.es. Use the account view to:
- prepare a host before configuring WordPress;
- inspect every site sharing the license;
- remove a retired host and free its domain slot;
- review or change a per-domain spending allowance.
Authorizing a host from the account does not place the key into WordPress. The current site still needs the matching POM AI key stored locally.
Multisite and alternative hosts
Authorization is per host, not per WordPress network installation. A subsite such as shop.example.com does not inherit authorization for example.com.
Configure the license inside the exact subsite that will translate. Avoid running the first translation through a temporary, preview, or alternate hostname unless that is the host you intend to authorize and charge.
Verify
Run one short translation and then check:
- no domain error appears;
- the translation is saved in the requested target locale;
- the POM AI account shows the correct host in its authorized-domain list and usage history.
If the site moved, remove the obsolete host when it is no longer needed. This prevents an abandoned environment from occupying a plan slot.
