Connect the POM AI license used for translation
POM Translate does not use its own product license for machine translation. It reads the POM AI service license assigned to the current WordPress site.
Get the correct key
Sign in to account.pom.es and open My Account → Licenses & Downloads. Copy the key from the POM AI product, not the POM Translate product.
Treat the key as a credential. Do not place it in screenshots, documentation, tickets, or translation notes.
Save and validate it
- In WordPress, open Settings → POM AI → License.
- Paste the POM AI key.
- Select Save and validate.
- Confirm the panel shows a masked key and a valid status.
- Check that Domain matches the host used by this site.
- Confirm the available AI credit balance loads.
If a key is already stored, the action reads Replace and validate. Use Revalidate after a subscription or account-side domain change.
Multisite scope
On WordPress multisite, connect and validate POM AI in the subsite that will run the translations. Authorization configured for another site does not automatically apply to every subsite.
Open the subsite's own dashboard and configure Settings → POM AI → License there. The panel may be headed POM AI license for this site, which distinguishes service authorization for that subsite from network update licensing.
Verify from POM Translate
After validation:
- confirm at least one additional language is enabled in POM Translate;
- open Translations → Translate contents;
- select that target language;
- use Translate with POM AI on one empty, short string.
A successful license validation proves the credential and domain. The small translation proves the full service path and available credit state.
Next, verify domain authorization.
