Reset today's local machine-translation usage

The quota reset tool clears the words and strings counted locally for the current day. Use it after increasing daily limits or when a failed batch consumed the local counter.

What the reset changes

POM Translate stores a site-level daily usage record containing the date, word count, and string count. Reset today's quota usage replaces today's counts with zero. If the current machine-translation status reports that the local quota was exceeded, that status is also cleared.

The action does not:

  • change stored translations or their statuses;
  • add POM AI credits;
  • bypass subscription, license, domain, or service authorization;
  • change the configured daily limits;
  • clear pending translation work;
  • reset translation storage.

Local limits and POM AI account credits are separate controls. Resetting this counter cannot make an unavailable external service available.

Run the reset

  1. Confirm why the current count should be cleared.
  2. Adjust the daily word or string limits first when the previous limits were too low.
  3. Open Settings → POM Translate → Tools → Translation maintenance.
  4. Find Reset machine translation quota.
  5. Select Reset today's quota usage.
  6. Confirm the action.
  7. Wait for the success message.

Verify before resuming

Return to the machine-translation workflow and process a small batch. Confirm the local quota warning is gone and that the POM AI service is authorized and has sufficient credits.

Do not use repeated resets as a substitute for suitable limits or usage monitoring. The tool changes only the current site's local accounting for the day; on multisite, other subsites keep their own values.
