label_english: the language name in English

{%label_english%} displays the English language name from the locale definition.

Fallback behavior

If the definition does not provide an English name, POM Translate uses the value of local_label. The tag therefore remains usable, but a bilingual template can repeat the same text:

{%local_label%} / {%label_english%}

Review custom language definitions before adopting this pattern across the site.

When to use it

An English label can help an international audience that shares English as a navigation language. It is also useful in a technically oriented selector:

{%label_english%} <small>{%code%}</small>

For most public selectors, consider retaining the local name as well. Showing only English names asks every visitor to recognize an English translation before changing language.

Check the configured locales

After saving the markup under Settings → POM Translate → Language switcher, inspect all entries for duplicate bilingual labels and unusually long names. The displayed name does not change the selector's locale or URL; POM Translate builds the link destination separately.
