Handle machine-translation failures safely

POM Translate processes bulk machine translation in background work so a temporary service or network failure does not require translating the whole site again.

When an error occurs:

  1. read the administrator-facing message without exposing credentials or request data;
  2. determine whether the cause is content validation, authorization, quota, connectivity, or a temporary service condition;
  3. correct permanent configuration or content errors before retrying;
  4. allow the configured backoff to expire after repeated temporary failures;
  5. resume with a small batch and confirm its result before releasing a large queue.

The plugin can retry qualifying temporary failures and can divide certain unusable multi-string results into smaller work. It does not retry every error indefinitely.

Custom code should not start parallel requests to work around a delay. That can defeat queue locking and local usage controls. It should also leave source content intact when no candidate translation is available.

Use Configure retry and backoff behavior for the current administrator controls and Bulk translation stops for recovery steps.
