Render a language selector
pom_translate_render_language_switcher( array $args = array() ): string returns selector HTML or an empty string when no output is available.
echo pom_translate_render_language_switcher(
array(
'type' => 'shortcode',
'format' => 'links',
'container_class' => 'footer-languages',
)
);
Supported types are shortcode, nav_menu, and floating. Shortcode output supports list, links, and dropdown; menu and floating contexts support list and dropdown. Arguments can control base/current-language inclusion, markup, and component classes.
The helper applies configured labels, merge tags, contextual exclusions, current-route localization, accessibility attributes, and the pom_translate_language_switcher_html filter.
The result is already assembled HTML. Do not wrap it in esc_html(). If accepting arguments from users, allowlist formats and sanitize custom class or markup values before calling the helper.
