Read configured languages

pom_translate_get_available_languages(): array returns the base locale followed by configured additional locales, with empty and duplicate values removed.

pom_translate_get_enabled_languages() and pom_translate_get_active_locales() are compatibility aliases for the same list.

$locales = function_exists( 'pom_translate_get_available_languages' )
    ? pom_translate_get_available_languages()
    : array( get_locale() );

Values are WordPress locale codes such as en_US and es_ES, not URL prefixes. Use pom_translate_get_language_definition() when labels, flags, country data, or the configured slug are required.

The result is scoped to the active site and memoized for the request. Do not persist it indefinitely in an external locale-neutral cache. Language setting changes flush POM Translate's request-sensitive caches, but an integration remains responsible for its own cache.

Do not alter the returned array and expect settings to change. Use the settings interface or documented language-setting API for writes.
