Resume a stopped bulk translation job
The generation job is resumable. It stores cursors and queue state so a page reload or bounded worker run does not require restarting the complete site scan.
Read the visible status
Separate:
- intentionally paused work;
- local daily word or string limit reached;
- missing POM AI license, domain authorization, or credits;
- retryable provider or network failure;
- invalid or oversized source strings;
- background processing or WP-Cron not running;
- a worker already holding the translation lock.
Do not start multiple browser, manual queue, and cron processors to force progress. POM Translate serializes provider work to protect ordering and credit usage.
Recover safely
- Keep the page or job ID and note its processed, queued, and remaining counts.
- Resolve the displayed authorization, quota, provider, or source error.
- Confirm background translation is enabled when scheduled continuation is expected.
- Run WP-Cron normally or use the available Process now control for queued work.
- Resume the same job rather than creating a duplicate.
The recovery worker can identify stranded queues, but it cannot repair invalid credentials or malformed source content.
If a failed batch consumed the local counter after limits were increased, use Reset today's quota usage deliberately; it does not restore POM AI credits. Stop again if counts do not advance, and collect the safe status information rather than repeatedly retrying.
