An expected MCP tool is missing

Tool availability comes from the connected site at runtime. Refresh tools/list and confirm the exact server before assuming the client is wrong.

Common causes

  • The POM AI MCP server or a relevant integration is not enabled.
  • POM Theme, WooCommerce, or POM Cache is unavailable in the current site runtime.
  • The client is connected to another multisite subsite.
  • The product version does not include the expected operation.
  • The operation is intentionally outside the MCP boundary.

POM Theme resources and status can confirm POM authoring availability. WooCommerce and POM Cache publish only their supported integration tools. POM AI does not provide a general plugin inventory, so absence does not prove whether arbitrary software is installed.

Do not invent a substitute

Similar names are not aliases. Do not use unrestricted post meta, options, page content, or a different product tool to emulate a missing operation. If the requested outcome is unsupported, identify the correct WordPress administration screen.

If a tool should appear after an administrator enables or updates an integration, reconnect and run initialize before listing tools again.
