Write and revise a paragraph in the visual editor

The paragraph assistant works inside the editor on the content you already have. It is the tool for a passage, not a page — and it is the one you will use most often.

Where it is

Enable AI in visual editor under Settings → POM AI → AI Tools. A Write with AI button then appears above the visual editor, in the row with the media button, on post and page edit screens.

There is no menu entry; the button is the whole interface.

The dialog

Selecting Write with AI opens Generate AI Content, with four inputs.

Enter your prompt. What you want written. A template dropdown appears above it if you have saved templates for the texts generator context.

Word Count. The approximate length of the output, minimum 10. This is the main length and cost control.

Content Creation Mode. Three options, and this is the field that decides what actually happens:

The buttons. One estimates credits and asks you to confirm, one generates directly, one cancels.

The mode is not a suggestion

The editor's current content is sent with the request, and the mode determines both what the request asks for and what happens to the result:

• rewrite and replace overwrite the editor content;
• continue appends to it.

Choose the mode before writing the prompt, because the prompt means different things in each. In continue mode, "explain the warranty" means add a passage about the warranty. In replace mode, the same words mean throw away what is there and write about the warranty instead.

Working with a selection

The assistant operates on the editor's content. Before using a destructive mode, be deliberate about what is in the editor — if you want to work on one paragraph rather than a whole post, isolate that paragraph first, or use continue mode and move the result yourself.

Copy anything you cannot afford to lose before running rewrite or replace. There is no undo inside the dialog; the editor's own undo is your safety net.

Everything else it sends

Along with your prompt, the mode and the current content, the request carries the relevant writing sections of the structured business profile and the site language. You do not need to restate permanent tone or audience details in the prompt. See Provide useful business context.

A first use

1. Open a draft post with a paragraph you are unhappy with.
2. Select Write with AI.
3. Choose Rewrite current content with other words.
4. Set a word count close to the existing length.
5. Prompt: make this clearer and remove the marketing language.
6. Estimate, read the number, confirm.
7. Compare the result with what you had, and keep whichever is better.

Cost

One charge per generation. The amount scales with the input — your prompt, the current content and the business description — plus the word count you asked for.

Because the current editor content is part of the input, running the assistant on a very long post costs more than running it on a short one, even for the same output length. Working on smaller chunks is both cheaper and better.

Limits worth knowing

• It works on the visual editor. A screen that does not load that editor does not show the button.
• It has no memory between uses. Each generation starts fresh from the current content.
• It produces content, not layout. Structure and blocks remain your job.
• Generated markers such as code fences are stripped from the result before insertion, but always read what landed in the editor.
