The site domain is not authorized
A valid POM AI license can still reject an AI request when the current WordPress domain is not attached to that license.
Resolve the domain mismatch
- Copy the public hostname shown by WordPress for the current site.
- Open Settings → POM AI → License and revalidate the connected license.
- Review the domains attached to that license in the POM account.
- Add the exact current domain or remove an obsolete domain if the plan limit has been reached.
- Retry a credit estimate before repeating a generating request.
Pay attention to mapped domains, www versus non-www, staging hosts, local-development domains, and multisite subsites. Do not authorize a network base domain when the request comes from a mapped subsite domain.
A migration or clone does not silently transfer domain authorization. Keep the old domain until rollback is no longer needed, then remove it through the license interface.
Do not change WordPress’s site URL merely to match an existing license entry. URL changes can break the site and are outside this troubleshooting flow.
If revalidation succeeds but AI requests still fail, record the current hostname, exact error code, time, and feature. Never share the license key.
