Edit prices in the list

Price changes are the most frequent edit in any restaurant, so Fenómenus puts them on the list screen rather than inside the item. A whole section can be repriced without opening a single dish.

Where

All items, under the menu type. Each row shows the price fields that menu type carries, with an icon per format, and each one can be edited in place.

Reprice a section

  1. Open All items.
  2. Use the category filter to isolate the section.
  3. Edit the prices on the rows.
  4. Wait for each confirmation before moving on.
  5. Clear the filter and check the section as a whole.

Filtering first turns a scroll through the whole menu into a short, checkable list. It is also how you avoid the classic error of repricing the right dish in the wrong section.

Which field is which

The icons distinguish the formats, and they differ per menu type:

Menu type Fields on the row
À la carte, terrace, breakfast, desserts, bar menu Full portion, half portion, unit
Wine list Glass, bottle, Magnum, Benjamin
Beverages Glass, shot, bottle
Cocktails One price

If a change does not appear where you expect it on the public menu, the most likely explanation is that you edited a different format. Open the item and compare all of its price fields at once.

Clearing a price

Emptying the field removes that format from the menu. Use it when a dish stops being served in half portions, or a wine stops being poured by the glass.

Do not type 0 to hide a format. Zero is a real price and is displayed as one.

A whole-menu price rise

For an across-the-board increase, the list is not the fastest tool. Export, edit, re-import:

  1. Download as Excel from All items, and keep the file as the "before" reference.
  2. Apply the increase in the spreadsheet, where you can compute and check it.
  3. Paste the rows back through Bulk create/update.
  4. Compare a fresh export against the original.
  5. Check the public menu signed out.

Rows are matched by exact title, and empty cells are skipped, so an import updates only what the sheet actually contains. See Bulk import prices.

What happens after you save

  • The public menu reflects the new price, subject to any page cache the site uses.
  • The price applies in every language, because prices are shared across an item's translations.
  • Any PDF already generated still shows the old price until it is rebuilt.
  • Printed QR codes are unaffected — they point at menus, not at prices.

If a price will not change

Work through this order:

  1. Reload the admin screen and read the value back. If the old one returns, the edit was not saved.
  2. Confirm you edited the right format.
  3. Open the public menu in a private window and reload once.
  4. If it is still old there, purge the site's page cache or CDN.
  5. If it is wrong only in one language, open the translated item directly.
  6. If it is wrong only on paper, regenerate the PDF.
