Cocktails

The cocktail list is a single-price menu type: one drink, one price. It is the simplest of the item types, and the one where the description does the selling.

What one record holds

Field Purpose
Title The cocktail name
Galería Photo or photos
Vídeo Optional video URL
Subtítulo A short qualifier — often the base spirit
Descripción Always-visible description, normally the ingredients
Descripción larga Expanded on demand — the story, the technique, the origin
Precio copa The price of the cocktail

There is one price field. In the bulk table and the Excel export it is labelled simply Price, because a cocktail has a single serving format.

Allergen information can be enabled for cocktails from Content settings → Allergens, which is worth doing for anything with dairy, egg white, nuts or gluten.

Descriptions that work

A cocktail list is read the way a wine list is read: guests are choosing something they cannot see. A usable pattern is:

  • Subtítulo — the base spirit, so a guest can scan by preference.
  • Descripción — the ingredients, in serving order, in plain names.
  • Descripción larga — the part that is fun to read but must not delay the order.

Keep ingredient lists consistent across the whole list. A menu that writes "gin, lime, soda" for one drink and a paragraph for the next reads as unfinished.

Categories that work

Signature
Classics
Low alcohol
Alcohol-free
Long drinks

Put the house's own creations first: it is the section that earns the most and the one guests will not find elsewhere. Alcohol-free deserves its own section rather than a footnote — it is increasingly the first thing a table looks for.

Layout

Cocktails are photogenic and short, which suits the photo-led layouts:

  • Horizontal carousel for a curated signature list.
  • Masonry for a longer list where the images are the appeal.
  • Swipe for a bar that wants the menu to feel like an experience.
  • Price list when the list is long and the photography is incomplete.

Whatever the choice, review it on a phone. Cocktail photography in a dark room can look excellent on a desktop screen and unreadable at a table.

Pairings

The à la carte menu can name a Cóctel recomendado on a dish. That field is free text on the dish, not a link to a cocktail record, so keep the spelling identical to the cocktail's title if you want guests to find it on this list.

Bulk work

Cocktails support the Excel export and the paste-in bulk table, with two columns: the cocktail name and its price. Ingredients, photos and stories are added on the item screens afterwards.
