Configure your restaurant information
The restaurant profile holds the identity of the business: the name guests see, the logo, and the fiscal and contact details that legal pages and contact forms rely on. It is separate from the menus themselves, so it is filled in once and then rarely touched.
Open the screen
Go to Settings → Restaurant settings, then the Restaurant setup tab, then the Restaurant settings subsection.
If the setup assistant has already been completed, the first row of the screen shows Setup assistant has been completed and a Restart Setup Assistant button. Ignore it here; it is documented in Complete the setup assistant.
The fields
| Field | What it is | Where it shows up |
|---|---|---|
| Site Title | The WordPress site title | Browser tab, site header, search results |
| Logo URL | The logo image, selected from the media library | Site header and, optionally, PDF menus |
| Public Business Name | The trading name guests recognize | Public-facing text where the commercial name is needed |
| Fiscal Name | The registered company name | Legal pages |
| Fiscal Address | The registered address | Legal pages |
| Business Address | The address of the premises guests visit | Contact and location content |
| NIF | The tax identification number | Legal pages |
| Mercantile Register | Company registry details | Legal notice |
| Email for Contact | The address guests write to | Contact content |
| Email for Legal Issues | The address for legal and privacy requests | Legal and privacy pages |
Site Title and Public Business Name are two different things on purpose. The site title is the technical name of the website; the public business name is how the house presents itself. They are often identical, and they do not have to be.
Fiscal name, fiscal address, NIF and the mercantile register are legal identity data, not decoration. Copy them exactly as they appear in the company's registration documents rather than from memory.
Fill it in
- Open Settings → Restaurant settings → Restaurant setup → Restaurant settings.
- Confirm or correct Site Title.
- Select the logo with the image picker. Upload it first if it is not in the media library yet.
- Complete the public and fiscal identity fields.
- Enter both email addresses. Use addresses that are actually monitored, and prefer role addresses such as
reservas@orinfo@over one person's mailbox. - Select Save Settings and wait for the confirmation.
Saving is done by the button on this screen. Navigating to another tab without saving discards what you typed.
Verify
- Reload the screen and confirm every value is still there.
- Open the public site while signed out and check that the logo and the site title are correct on a phone as well as on a desktop.
- Open the legal and contact pages and confirm they show the fiscal identity you just saved, with no placeholder text left over from the home template.
- Send a test message to each of the two email addresses and confirm someone receives it.
Two frequent mistakes
Leaving the generated home page text in place. If the site uses the local-SEO home template, the front page ships with sample copy, a sample address and a sample phone number. Publishing the restaurant profile does not rewrite that page. Edit the front page separately.
Using a logo that only works on one background. The logo appears over the site header and, in the PDF generator, over a printed page. Check both before deciding.
Once the identity is correct, build the first menu in Create and publish your first menu.
