Beverages

Beverages is the drinks list that is not wine and not cocktails: soft drinks, beers, waters, coffees, spirits, vermouths and after-dinner drinks. It is built around the three formats those drinks are actually served in.

What one record holds

Field Purpose
Title The drink name
Imagen A single image, chosen from the media library
Vídeo Optional video URL
Subtítulo A short qualifier — the producer, the style, the origin
Descripción Always-visible description
Descripción larga Expanded on demand
Precio copa Glass price
Precio chupito Shot price
Precio botella Bottle price

Beverages and the wine list are the two menu types that use a single Imagen field instead of the photo gallery. One drink is one bottle or one glass; there is rarely a second useful angle.

The three formats

This is the only menu type that carries a shot price, and it exists for spirits and liqueurs.

Format Typical use
Glass Draught beer, soft drinks, wine by the glass sold outside the wine list, vermouth
Shot Spirits, liqueurs, after-dinner drinks
Bottle Bottled beer, water, soft drinks, a full bottle of spirit for a table

Fill only what you serve. A bottled water needs a bottle price and nothing else; a gin needs a shot price, and a bottle price only if the house actually sells bottles.

Categories that work

Waters
Soft drinks
Beers
Vermouth and aperitifs
Spirits
Coffee and infusions
Digestifs

Order them the way a table orders: aperitif, with the meal, after the meal. That ordering is set in All categories and is what guests read.

What belongs somewhere else

  • Wines belong on the Wine list, which stores vintage, ageing, winery, grape, region and four bottle formats. A wine placed in Beverages loses all of that.
  • Cocktails belong on the Cocktails list.

The exception is a house wine poured by the glass that never appears on the wine list. That is a legitimate beverage entry.

Layout

Beverages lists are long and rarely photographed completely. Price list is the practical choice: fast to scan, works with or without images, and does not expose gaps where photos are missing.

If you do use a photo-led layout, make sure every drink has an image. One missing photo is much more visible in a grid than in a list.

Allergen information

Enable allergens for beverages from Content settings → Allergens when the list includes anything with gluten, dairy, nuts or sulphites — beers, horchata, cream liqueurs and some aperitifs all qualify.

Bulk work

Beverages support the Excel export and the paste-in bulk table, with four columns: name, glass price, shot price and bottle price. A drinks list is usually the fastest menu in the whole restaurant to build this way.
