The registration form does not appear

No button, or a button that does not open the form. Work down in order.

1. Is attendee functionality enabled?

Settings → POM Events → General → Totally disable event attendees functionality.

When it is enabled, the whole registration system disappears from the site: the button, the form, the attendee panel, the Assistants column and the remaining-places display.

This is the most common cause, and the giveaway is that the Registration form and Attendants tabs are missing from the event editor too.

Existing registrations are not deleted; they return if you switch it back.

2. Is the button disabled on this event?

Events settings → Attendants → Disable signup button hides it on that event only, leaving everything else in place.

3. Has the event finished?

Once the end date and time have passed, the button shows the finished label and is disabled. That is intended: registration closes automatically.

Check the end date. An event that finished yesterday behaves exactly like this.

4. Does the event have a product associated?

With WooCommerce active and a product set on the E-Commerce tab, the registration button is replaced by Get access. There is no form; the path is a purchase.

That is intended behavior for a paid event. See Sell event access.

5. Is the POM theme active?

Without it, no part of the event runtime renders — including the button. If the Events menu is missing from the sidebar, this is the cause.

6. The button is there but nothing opens

  1. Reload the page once.
  2. Try a private window and a different browser.
  3. Confirm the event is published and its dates are set.
  4. Confirm you are on the event's own page rather than a listing.

7. The form opens but a field is missing

Optional fields are per event: Events settings → Registration form → Form fields. Last name, telephone and comments are enabled by default; country is not.

A field disabled on that event is not shown.

It appears only when a privacy policy URL is set under Settings → POM Events → Single event.

If your form is collecting personal data without a consent step, this is why — and it should be configured before taking real registrations.

9. The button says something unexpected

The label depends on the event's state:

Label Reason
The finished label The end date has passed
The waiting-list label The event has a capacity set
The available label Neither of the above

An event with a capacity uses the waiting-list label, so word that label to suit a capacity event in general. See Custom button labels.
