Grouped by what they do
The header — Disable subheader, Header image, Custom header image. See Subheader settings.
The content column — Display title, Display featured image before content, Display "Go back" button and its label and URL.
The form — Single form clause, Single form privacy link URL. See Form settings and Privacy settings.
Related content — the label, the excerpt and the link options. See Related content settings.
The sidebar — Hide "Add to calendar" button.
Title and subheader interact
The subheader prints the title over the image. Display title prints it again in the content column. With both enabled, the title appears twice.
| Subheader | Display title | Result |
|---|---|---|
| On | Off | The usual choice |
| Off | On | A plain page with a normal heading |
| On | On | Duplicated title |
| Off | Off | No title anywhere |
The Go back button
Three settings together: enable it, give it a label, give it a URL.
It is worth enabling. A finished event page is otherwise a dead end, and a back link pointing at your events page turns every past event into a route to the next one.
Both the label and the URL are translatable, so a multilingual site can point each language at its own events page.
Add to calendar
Enabled by default and worth leaving on: it is the most useful action a visitor takes after deciding to attend. See Add to calendar.
No per-event overrides
Every setting here applies to all events. There is no way to give one event a different header treatment or a different title behavior.
If two kinds of event need genuinely different pages, the options are to accept one treatment for both, or to have a developer add a variation through the supported template hooks — see Template integration.
