Activate your POM Events license
The license connects this site to your POM Events subscription. It authorizes the domain and enables private updates delivered through the POM update channel.
What you need
- An active paid POM Events subscription at
account.pom.es. - The license key from My Account → Licenses & Downloads.
- Administrator access to this site.
Save and validate the key
- Open Settings → POM Events.
- Open the License section.
- Paste the key.
- Save and validate.
- Confirm the section reports a valid state for this domain.
The section itself states the requirement: POM Events needs an active paid subscription and the POM theme to run, and the key authorizes this domain and enables private updates.
Where the key is stored
In the shared POM product license registry used by every POM product on the site — not in a POM Events-specific option, and not in a separate menu.
That means one place to look when several POM products are installed, and one place to update if a key is ever rotated.
Multisite
Two rules apply, and both are shown in the License section of a subsite:
- POM Events must be network-active, or active on the network's main site, for the local updater to work.
- The network license is configured from the main site. A subsite does not hold its own update license.
Each subsite still shows the requirement so an administrator can see what is missing without having to inspect the main site.
The missing-license notice
When no valid license is present, POM Events shows an administration notice linking straight to its License section. It is a prompt, not a lockout.
What the license does not affect
- Existing events keep working. Content, templates and shortcodes do not depend on the license check.
- Registration keeps working. Visitors are unaffected.
- The settings screen stays available.
What you lose without a valid license is update delivery: new versions are not offered, so the site stays on the installed version.
What it does not replace
The theme requirement is separate. A valid license on a site running a non-POM theme still means no event runtime: no event content type, no templates, no shortcodes. Licensing and the theme guard are independent checks.
When to revisit the license
- After moving the site to another domain — the key authorizes a domain, so revalidate.
- After a subscription renewal, if the state does not refresh on its own.
- Before a planned update, so a new version is actually offered.
- After restoring a backup onto a different environment.
Keep the key private
The license key is credential-like. Do not paste it into screenshots, support messages, public tickets or shared documents. Support can identify a subscription without it — see Safe information to send with a support request.
Verification
- [ ] The License section reports a valid state for this domain.
- [ ] The missing-license notice is gone.
- [ ] On multisite, POM Events is active on the main site and its network license is configured there.
- [ ] The plugin's version is visible under Plugins, and updates are offered when one exists.
