Tour the POM Events interface
POM Events adds one sidebar menu, two panels to the event editor, two columns to the events list, and one settings screen. This is what each of them is for.
The Events menu
A calendar icon in the sidebar, with:
| Entry | Purpose |
|---|---|
| All Events | The list of events |
| Add New | Create an event |
| Event types | The hierarchical type taxonomy |
| Categories | The hierarchical category taxonomy |
| Tags | Tags, shared with the site's posts |
If this menu is absent, the active theme is not the POM theme.
All Events
The standard WordPress list, with two additions:
- Event start date — the event's start, shown in bold with (Today) when the event starts today. The column is sortable, which is how you get a chronological working list instead of a publication-date list.
- Assistants — the number of confirmed registrations. Waiting-list and cancelled registrations are not counted, so the number is the one that matters for the door.
The Assistants column disappears when attendee functionality is disabled in the settings.
The event editor
Two POM Events panels sit above the content editor.
Events settings
The event's own data, in tabs:
| Tab | Contents |
|---|---|
| Date & Time | Event start date & time · Date format · Event end date & time · Hide event date · All day |
| Event info | Event place · Introductory Text · Organized by · Available button label · Custom event hashtag · Telephone · Related posts · Additional links |
| Registration form | Waiting list button label · Finished event button label · Form fields |
| Attendants | Available space · Disable signup button · Display remaining space |
| E-Commerce | Associated products |
The Registration form and Attendants tabs only exist when attendee functionality is enabled. The E-Commerce tab only exists when WooCommerce is active.
Event assistants
The registration list for this event, in three sections:
- Confirmed
- Waiting list
- Cancelled
Each row shows the user name, email (as a mail link), telephone (as a call link), the comment (opened in a modal) and an Actions control that moves the person between the three sections. Cancelled rows also have a delete control, which removes the registration permanently.
Below the table, Export to CSV and Export to XLS produce the attendee list as a file.
This panel is also hidden when attendee functionality is disabled.
Settings → POM Events
One screen, four sections:
| Section | Controls |
|---|---|
| General | Whether attendee functionality exists at all |
| Archive | Posts per page, hide dates, loader image, thumbnail placeholder, error message |
| Single event | Subheader, title, add-to-calendar, go-back button, form clause and privacy link, header image, featured image, related content |
| License | The subscription key for this domain |
Everything here is site-wide. Nothing on this screen changes one event.
The public side
Two shortcodes, placed wherever visitors look for events:
| Shortcode | Renders |
|---|---|
[web_event_search_form] |
A date picker, type and category filters, and AJAX results with Load more events |
[pom_events_fullcalendar] |
A month calendar of every published event |
Both are also available as page-builder elements on a POM site.
The single event page itself is rendered by the plugin's own template; there is nothing to place for it.
