Build a brochure site
This recipe creates a small public site for a company, professional, or organization. The outcome is a consistent set of service pages with clear navigation, reusable calls to action, and a working contact route.
Before you begin
Prepare the approved page list, final brand assets, service copy, legal pages, contact destination, and one person responsible for enquiries. Work on staging.
A useful minimum structure is Home, Services, About, Contact, Privacy Policy, and any legally required pages.
1. Establish the shared design
- Go to Settings → POM Theme → Design system.
- Configure brand assets, the global color palette, typography, button styles, icons, and shared components.
- Open the Theme preview and check real headings, paragraphs, buttons, and links.
- Remove page-level color or type decisions that should be global.
Expected result: a new page can use the brand without recreating styles.
2. Configure the site frame
- Configure Settings → POM Theme → Site layout.
- Build the desktop and mobile header behavior.
- Assign the primary navigation under Appearance → Menus.
- Configure the footer and include durable contact and legal navigation.
- Verify sticky or transparent header choices against the first section of each page.
3. Build one representative page
- Go to Pages → Add New.
- Open Page Builder → Backend Editor.
- Build rows and columns for the page heading, service explanation, proof, and next action.
- Use semantic Title, concise Text Block, image, and Button components.
- Preview below 992 px, 768 px, and 544 px.
- Publish only after the content order remains logical without the desktop layout.
Use the approved page as the pattern for the remaining pages. Reuse intentional sections rather than duplicating a finished page and leaving stale content behind.
4. Add the enquiry route
Build a contact form from Forms, with only the fields needed to respond. Configure its email action, validation, confirmation, privacy clause, and spam protection. Place it on Contact and link every relevant call to action to that route.
Submit it while signed out and confirm the recipient, Reply-To behavior, message, privacy text, and success state.
5. Launch review
Check navigation, current-page labels, headings, link destinations, missing images, forms, legal links, keyboard focus, contrast, phone layout, and performance. Open the complete journey in a private browser so administrator state does not hide a public problem.
