Configure the site layout

POM Theme separates the permanent site frame from the layout of individual content types. Use Settings → POM Theme → Site layout for headers, mobile navigation, subheaders, breadcrumbs, footers, the contact dock, and custom sidebars. Configure archive and single-content layouts in their corresponding POM Theme sections.

Start with the frame

For a new site, work from the outside in:

  1. Read How POM Theme composes the site frame.
  2. Decide how content should use the viewport with Site width and containers.
  3. Build the desktop and mobile header with the header workflow.
  4. Configure subheaders and breadcrumbs.
  5. Create any custom sidebars required by content templates.
  6. Assemble the footer with the footer workflow.
  7. Add the floating contact dock only when visitors need a persistent contact route.
  8. Complete the responsive layout review.

Choose the correct settings scope
