Tour the POM Page Builder interface
Use this tour to identify the editor modes, the element library, the page canvas, and the settings dialogs before changing an existing page.
Open the builder
- In WordPress, open Pages and edit a page you are allowed to change.
- Select Page Builder when the standard content editor is shown.
- Choose Backend Editor or Frontend Editor if both are available.
Availability depends on the content type and the Page Builder permissions assigned to your WordPress role.
The main areas
The editor is divided into four working areas:

| Top toolbar | Add content, change editing mode, undo or redo session changes, and access preview or save actions. |
| Element library | Search or browse components that are allowed for your role and the current location. |
| Canvas | Read and rearrange the saved row, column, and component hierarchy. |
| Settings dialog | Edit the selected component's content, design, visibility, and advanced options. |
Read the canvas
Start at the outer edge of a section:
- The row control identifies the horizontal section.
- The row's layout control shows how it is divided.
- Each column contains its own add control and components.
- Nested containers expose a further level only for valid child items.
Hover or focus a component to reveal its available controls. Controls can differ by component and by role.
Open the element library
Select Add new element in the toolbar to start a new structure, or use Append to this column to add content inside an existing column. The library groups searchable components by category. Selecting a container or component normally opens its settings before it is placed.
Leave without losing orientation
Use Exit Page Builder edit mode to return to the standard WordPress editing view. Exiting the mode does not replace a save action. Before leaving, confirm that the post has been published, updated, or submitted as intended.
