Facets and data sources
This reference explains which configuration belongs to every facet and which settings appear only for particular types.
Settings shared by most facets

Facet IDs are generated automatically. Copy them; do not rename or recreate them in page content.
Supported source families
Taxonomy
Enter the registered taxonomy key. Taxonomy-backed Checkboxes, Radio, Searchable select, and Hierarchy can display term Thumbnail, Background image, or both through Term media.
The editor also allows included or excluded term IDs/slugs for taxonomy and WooCommerce attribute choices.
Meta
Enter the exact custom meta key. Use concise text, number, or date values. The editor deliberately rejects custom fields configured as TinyMCE or textarea content because they are unsuitable as facet values.
Post field and post type
Use Post field for a supported native value. Use Post type with the fixed post_type key when a combined query should be narrowed by object type.
WooCommerce
Use a supported product key or attribute taxonomy. Attribute-backed choice facets can retain term counts and swatch-related data.
When POM Tweaks Country pricing zones is active, a WooCommerce Price source uses the visitor's resolved zone for Slider and Number range facets. The available minimum and maximum come from the same eligible product set as the other active facets. Keep the country-zone product index complete; a missing regional row is not replaced with a base-price result.
Regional facet responses are requested privately after a cache-neutral public page loads. Do not configure a CDN to store POM Faceted Search REST responses, because the range and returned product markup can differ by country zone.
Location
Use this source with Proximity or Map. A map can read a latitude/longitude meta pair or the theme locations repeater.
Type-specific controls
Choice facets can set Limit, Soft limit, Default values, Zero-count choices, Ghost values, and Preserve ghost values.
Search can set Placeholder, Auto refresh, Debounce (ms), and Button label.
Range types can set Step, Decimals, Prefix, Suffix, Apply label, and Default values.
Autocomplete can set Placeholder, Minimum characters, and Suggestions limit.
Proximity can set Unit, default/minimum/maximum radius, and radius step. Map has its own location, viewport, bounds, marker, control, and styling options described in Maps and proximity search.
Reindex requirement
Select Save facets, then reindex the context after changing a source, type, operator, selection mode, indexing state, term restrictions, or indexed content options. Verify choice labels and counts on the public page before considering the configuration complete.
For a regional WooCommerce price facet, also complete the Country pricing zones product reindex in POM Tweaks. Test the same filtered page from at least two configured zones and confirm each range returns the correct products.
