Footer settings reference
Open Settings → POM Theme → Site layout → Footer → Footer general settings. to control the shared footer shell. Widget content remains under Appearance → Widgets.
Overall appearance
The footer can use:
- Enable parallax
- Footer background image
- Footer background, text, link, and hover colors
- Footer font size
Set these values for the common shell. Each enabled widget row can then override its own background and text palette where a visual band needs to differ.
Widget rows
POM Theme supports three rows. Enabling a row reveals:
- A column count from 1 to 12
- A full-width-content control
- A 1–12 width for each generated column
- One mobile width applied to all columns in that row
- Top and bottom padding
- Centered-content behavior
- Row-specific background and text colors
The saved row and column count determines which Footer first row, Footer second row, and Footer third row widget areas WordPress registers.
Copyright area
Use Copyright wrapper to enable the lower area. Its settings include Copyright text, Footer credits, background color and alpha, and text color.
Assign a menu to Footer (above copyright) under Appearance → Menus → Manage Locations when the footer needs a compact navigation immediately above the copyright content.
Floating footer controls
Display go to top arrow? adds the return-to-top control with configurable colors and shape.
Display floating secondary icon? reveals a separate action with settings for:
- Action type
- Modal ID or URL, depending on the action
- Link target
- Appended text
- ARIA label
- Colors, shape, and icon
Provide an explicit ARIA label when the icon alone does not communicate its action. Verify that the control does not overlap the floating contact dock.
Reusable content after the footer
Append reusable block renders the selected reusable block after the standard footer. Use it for a genuinely shared closing section, not for content that belongs in one page.
Change impact
Changing an enabled row’s column count changes the set of registered widget areas. Before reducing the count, review Appearance → Widgets and move any content that still needs to appear.
