Build a footer from widget rows

POM Theme builds the main footer from up to three independently configured rows. Each enabled column becomes a WordPress widget area, so row structure must be saved before its content can be added.

Plan the rows

Before changing settings, group footer content by purpose. A common structure is:

1. Brand, address, and primary contact details.
2. Navigation or service links.
3. Legal links and copyright.

The copyright wrapper is separate from the three widget rows, so do not create a row solely to reproduce information that belongs there.

Create the row structure

1. Open Settings → POM Theme → Site layout → Footer → Footer general settings.
2. Enable Enable footer row 1.
3. Choose Column number for footer row 1 from 1 to 12.
4. Decide whether to Make the content in row 1 full-width?
5. Set each column width. The grid uses 12 units, and a width of 12 fills the row.
6. Set All columns width for footer row 1 on mobile.
7. Configure row padding, alignment, background, and text palette.
8. Repeat for rows 2 and 3 only when needed.
9. Save the settings.

Populate the generated widget areas

1. Open Appearance → Widgets.
2. Find Footer first row, sidebar 1 and the other areas generated for the enabled rows and columns.
3. Add the required widgets to each area.
4. Save the widgets and open a public page.

If a widget area is missing, return to the footer settings, confirm its row and column count, save, and reload Appearance → Widgets.

Finish the footer

Return to Footer general settings. to configure:

• The footer background image, palette, and font size
• Copyright wrapper, Copyright text, and Footer credits
• The Footer (above copyright) WordPress menu location
• Optional go-to-top and secondary floating icons
• Append reusable block for content that must follow the footer

Sign off the footer

The footer is complete when every enabled widget area contains intentional content, column widths form a valid 12-unit arrangement, mobile widths do not produce cramped columns, legal links remain reachable, and floating controls do not cover content.
