Your referral link

The link that connects a sale to you.

Where it is

At the top of My partner commissions, in a read-only field. Copy it from there.

It is the Pomatio site's address with your partner reference attached as a ref parameter. That parameter is the whole mechanism.

How attribution works

  1. Someone opens your link.
  2. Their browser stores a referral cookie naming you.
  3. If they buy — then or later, within the cookie's lifetime — the order is attributed to you and a commission is created.

The cookie lasts 30 days. A visit today can still earn a commission on a purchase three weeks from now, but not three months.

Using it well

  • Send people to the link, not to the site. A visitor who types the address themselves carries no reference and earns you nothing.
  • Use it in everything — your site, your proposals, your signature, your posts.
  • You may add a path. Point the link at the specific product you are recommending, keeping the ref parameter attached, and the visitor lands where you meant.
  • Do not shorten it in a way that drops the parameter. Test any shortener by following it and checking the parameter survives.

Why a sale might not be attributed to you

In rough order of frequency:

Cause What happened
The customer did not use your link They arrived directly, or through a search
More than 30 days passed The cookie expired
A different browser or device Cookies do not follow people between devices
Cookies cleared or blocked Nothing was stored
Another referral came later The most recent visit is the one that counts
The order was placed by Pomatio directly Some purchase routes are not referral-attributed

Attribution is recorded at purchase time. If it is missing, preserve the order number and date and ask Pomatio to review the recorded attribution; the account has no self-service control to change it.

What you cannot do

  • Edit an order's referral from the partner dashboard. It has no retrospective attribution control.
  • Assume a purchase is eligible solely because it used the link. Eligibility still follows the partner agreement and order outcome.
  • See who clicked. The area tracks commissions, not visits.

Check the commission list first — it may simply be in review. If nothing exists for that order, the attribution did not happen, and the causes above are the reason. Support can look at a specific order if you give them the order number and the date.

Use the referral link currently shown in the dashboard as the authoritative version. Publishing it correctly is better than copying it from old material, and if you suspect a link is wrong, copy it fresh from the dashboard and retest it.
