Commission statuses

Every commission carries a status badge. This is what each one means and what moves it forward.

The statuses

Status Meaning
Pending admin approval Created, waiting for Pomatio to review it
Approved pending payment Approved. It becomes claimable once its waiting period has passed
Payment requested Included in a payment request you sent
Paid Settled
Rejected Reviewed and not approved
Reverted Reversed after being counted — typically because the sale was undone
Expired No longer payable, under the terms that govern it
Cancelled Voided, typically because the order behind it failed or was cancelled

The normal path

Pending admin approval → Approved pending payment → Payment requested → Paid

Anything off that path — rejected, reverted, expired, cancelled — ends the commission.

Only one status is claimable

Approved pending payment, and only after the waiting period. Everything else shows a dash in the Pay column instead of a checkbox.

That single rule explains most questions about why a commission cannot be selected.

Why approved commissions are not always claimable

A commission becomes payable one month after its commission date. Until then it is approved but not yet claimable, and the checkbox does not appear.

This is why Approved pending payment can be a healthy figure while Ready to request is zero. Nothing is wrong; the wait is part of the process, and it exists because sales can still be refunded shortly after purchase.

Cancelled and reverted

Both mean the commission is not owed:

  • Cancelled — the order behind it failed, was cancelled, or otherwise never completed.
  • Reverted — it had been counted, and was reversed afterwards.

A refund on a sale you referred produces one of these. It is the mirror image of earning the commission in the first place.

Rejected

Pomatio reviewed the commission and did not approve it. If you believe a rejection is wrong, raise it with the commission ID — that is what identifies it.

Expired

The commission is no longer payable under the terms that apply to it. Where recurring commissions have a limited life, this is the state they end in.

Filtering by status

The Commission status filter above the table narrows the list to one status. Use it to answer specific questions rather than scrolling:

  • What is waiting on Pomatio? — Pending admin approval.
  • What can I claim? — Approved pending payment, then look for checkboxes.
  • What did I already request? — Payment requested.
  • What did I lose, and why? — Rejected, cancelled, reverted.

Status changes are not announced in the account

You may receive an email when certain things happen — see Partner notification emails — but the dashboard itself does not flag changes. It shows the current state.
