Pomatio traffic tiers
Traffic-based services are priced by how many monthly visits your site receives. Your card shows where you stand.
The three extra fields
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Last full month traffic | The visits counted in the last complete month, with the year and month shown |
| This month so far | Visits so far in the current month |
| Traffic tier state | How the last complete month compared with your tier |
How the evaluation works
Your tier has a monthly visit range. Once a month has finished, its total is compared with your tier's upper limit and the state is set accordingly.
The background assessment runs daily and updates services progressively. Services may therefore show their refreshed result at different times while processing is in progress.
Two things follow from that:
- The assessment uses complete months only. The current month is shown for information, and never decides anything.
- A single busy day does not change your tier. The month as a whole does.
The states
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| within tier | Last complete month was inside your tier's range |
| over tier | Last complete month exceeded your tier's upper limit |
| pending data | The traffic figure for that month is not available yet |
| needs review | The service is not linked to a site that can be measured — contact support |
A tier with no upper limit is open-ended and can never read over tier.
What "over tier" means
It means what it says: last month's traffic was above the tier you are paying for. It is a billing signal, not a switch — your service does not stop.
If your traffic has genuinely grown, moving to the tier that matches it is the resolution. If it was a one-off spike, the next evaluation will show within tier again.
What "pending data" means
The figure for the last complete month has not been collected yet. Early in a month this is normal; give it time.
If it persists across several months, ask support to check the service's link to your site.
What "needs review" means
The service is not linked to a site whose traffic can be measured, so no evaluation can run. This is a configuration issue on Pomatio's side — contact support and quote the service name.
Reading "this month so far"
Useful as an early warning: if a third of the way through the month you are already near your tier limit, this month will end over tier.
It is not comparable with the last-full-month figure until the month is over.
What counts as a visit
Traffic is counted by the platform running the service. It is a measure of visits to the site, not of page views, API calls or your own administration sessions — but the precise definition belongs to the service, not to your account, and support can confirm it for your case.
Changing tier
Buy the plan you need in the shop. There is no tier control in the account, and being over tier does not change your plan automatically.
