Subscription and top-up credits
Your balance is made of batches, and batches come in two kinds that behave differently.
Subscription credits
Granted by your POM AI plan when a period is paid. They appear under Subscription credits, each batch showing the plan it came from, the credits remaining and its expiry.
Their defining property: they expire with the subscription period. They are an allowance for the period, not a balance that accumulates.
If there are none active, the card says There are no active subscription credit batches right now.
Top-up credit batches
Bought separately, and listed under Top-up credit batches. Each shows:
- Its batch number and the order it came from.
- The credits remaining.
- When it was added, and when it expires.
They are the reserve you build deliberately, and they are not tied to your subscription period.
If you have none unused, the card says so.
The spending order
- Subscription credits before top-ups.
- Within each kind, the batch that expires soonest first.
This is the order you would choose yourself: it burns the credits with the nearest deadline, and it leaves your purchased reserve alone until the period's own allowance is exhausted.
What that means in practice
- A month where you use less than your allowance does not build a reserve. The unused part expires with the period.
- A month where you exceed it eats into your top-ups, silently and automatically. There is no prompt.
- Top-ups are the right instrument for peaks, not for topping up a plan that is consistently too small — that is a plan change.
Reading the batch list
Each entry shows the remaining amount, not the original. A batch reading zero has been fully spent; a batch that disappears has expired.
The order number on a top-up batch is your link back to the purchase, which is the fastest way to reconcile a balance with your invoices.
Buying a top-up
Through the shop, like any other purchase. Once the order is paid, the batch appears in this card and the balance rises.
If you bought one and do not see it, check the order status first: an unpaid order grants nothing.
Credits are per account
Both kinds belong to your account, not to a site or a domain. Every authorized domain draws on the total.
What you cannot do
- Move credits between accounts.
- Refund unused credits.
- Assign a batch to a specific site. Per-domain control is a spending limit, not an allocation. See Domain spending limits.
- Extend a batch's expiry.
