License status and renewals
The badge on your license card, the date beside it, and what happens when a license lapses.
The badge
Every license card carries a status badge:
| Badge | What it means |
|---|---|
| active | The license can validate. Updates and downloads are available only when the plan includes them |
| pending | Not usable yet — typically an order whose payment has not cleared |
| expired | The period ended without renewal |
| suspended | Temporarily inactive, for example while a renewal payment is unresolved |
| revoked | Ended deliberately, for example after a refund |
| blocked | Administratively stopped |
Only active validates.
Expires / renews
The card shows the date your license runs to, or No expiration for a lifetime license.
For a subscription license, that date moves forward each time a renewal is paid. You do not need to do anything for that to happen, beyond keeping a working payment method on file.
What lapsing does
The product stays installed and keeps running. What stops is everything that depends on the licensing check:
- Update offers stop appearing.
- Manual downloads are refused.
- Whatever the product itself gates behind a valid license stops.
Your site does not go down, and your content is untouched. But it stops receiving fixes, which over time is its own risk.
What lapsing does not do
- It does not delete the license. The card stays in your account.
- It does not clear your domains.
- It does not affect POM AI credits, which are a separate balance.
- It does not undo anything on your sites.
Getting back to active
For an expired or suspended license, the route is the subscription behind it: renew it, or fix the payment method and let the renewal succeed.
Once the payment clears, the license returns to active and your sites validate again on their next check. Nothing has to be re-entered.
For revoked and blocked, contact support — those states are set deliberately and are not resolved by paying.
Payments that clear late
Bank transfer and direct debit confirm after checkout. While the payment is unresolved, a license may show as pending or suspended rather than active.
That is the payment working normally, not a fault. It resolves when the money arrives.
Renew before, not after
The practical advice:
- Keep Payment methods current. Expired cards cause most lapses.
- Watch the Expires / renews date on products you depend on.
- If you are deliberately letting something lapse, confirm the available renewal or repurchase route for that subscription before its end date.
Lifetime licenses
No expiration means the license does not end. Whether it continues to receive updates still depends on the plan, so a lifetime license is not automatically a lifetime of new versions — the plan is what says so.
