Migrate legacy font-size helpers

Use wp pom migrate-font-size-helpers after updating a site that contains the retired pixel-named fs-* classes. The command replaces those names with the current rem-based helpers while preserving the surrounding HTML, block comments, shortcodes and stored data structures.

Replacement map

Retired helpers Current helper
fs-9, fs-10 fs-05
fs-11, fs-12, fs-13 fs-075
fs-14, fs-16, fs-18 fs-1
fs-20, fs-22, fs-24, fs-26 fs-125
fs-28, fs-30, fs-35, fs-40 fs-2
fs-45, fs-50 fs-3

The replacement targets correspond to 0.5, 0.75, 1, 1.25, 2 and 3rem. fs-0375, representing 0.375rem, is also available for new content but has no automatic predecessor in this migration.

Preview and apply

This command uses the unified helper migration engine, limited to font-size helpers. To migrate fonts, gaps and spacing together with one scan, use wp pom migrate-helpers instead.

Preview without content writes:

wp pom migrate-font-size-helpers --dry-run --url=https://example.test

Apply with an existing private, writable mode-0700 directory outside WordPress:

wp pom migrate-font-size-helpers --apply --backup-dir=/private/migrations --url=https://example.test

All helper commands default to simulation; omitting --dry-run does not apply changes. Progress is shown by phase, and --verbose lists each proposed location. The command saves exact originals and proposed values in a private backup before applying changes. It leaves all caches and generated assets unchanged.

Use --network for POM-theme sites in the current network. Shared user data, network options and shared managed templates require --include-shared; --include-network-options adds network options alone. See the unified guide for scope, format limits, progress, concurrent-write handling and recovery after interruption.

Completed conversions are preserved on repeat runs, including after an older migration stopped partway through. Verify representative pages and templates in the editor and frontend, then rerun with --dry-run --fail-on-remaining. Unsupported serialized objects/references or ambiguous values are preserved and reported for manual review.
