Enclosed content

Content between the opening and closing tags is processed as WordPress shortcode content. Keep the parent/child structure shown by the visual builder so nested components receive the context they expect.

Customize the stylesheet

Administrators can replace the complete audio playlist stylesheet under Settings → POM Theme → Advanced → Custom CSS → Shortcode CSS assets → Audio playlist. Saving publishes an optimized per-site copy but does not add the stylesheet to pages that do not contain the shortcode. Reverting returns the existing web-audio-playlist handle to the current audio-playlist.min.css supplied by the theme. Playlist items, playback state, fixed controls, and the existing web_audio_playlist script remain unchanged.

The player remembers volume, mute, repeat, shuffle and a matching track position when browser storage is available. Only playlists and tracks supplied by the current page can be restored. With footer controls disabled, rows still support play/pause. Several playlists share one footer; Choose playlist in its playlist panel also exposes hidden lists. Device-hidden lists do not become the active player.

For the native editor workflow, see Build an Audio Playlist in Gutenberg. Legacy and native playlists can coexist.

Static HTML page caching is supported. Earlier cached playlist markup retains its footer autoplay and pin settings; current playlists use their own saved options.

Verification

Populate audio_playlist with audio_item and confirm every child remains reachable in the intended order. Pay particular attention to color_scheme and enable_bottom_controls.
