web_notification Shortcode

The web_notification shortcode displays a persistent message using the theme's notification colors and info-box layout. It is not a toast or a dismissible popup.

The attributes below match the current Page Builder controls and public output. Use raw syntax only for reviewed content that cannot be maintained through the visual controls.

Usage

[web_notification type="notice"]<p>Your message.</p>[/web_notification]

Attributes

Attribute Default Accepted values Purpose
type notice notice, success, error Choose notification type.
icon Empty Theme icon identifier, such as materialicons/check_circle Select an optional decorative icon. A missing icon adds no icon wrapper.

The message goes between the opening and closing shortcode tags, not in a content attribute. The callback does not support a device_visibility attribute. Invalid types fall back to notice.

Use notice for neutral information, success for a confirmation and error for a problem the visitor can understand or act on. Keep the message concise, include a recovery step where useful, and do not imply a live transaction result using fixed editorial text.

[web_notification type="success" icon="materialicons/check_circle"]
<p>Your request was sent successfully.</p>
[/web_notification]

Do not expose stack traces, internal identifiers, credentials, raw request data, or private customer information in an error notification. Include the meaning in text, not only in color or the decorative icon.

Verification

Preview all used types, long messages and links at mobile and desktop sizes. The shortcode uses the existing main theme CSS and has no additional frontend asset. It continues rendering with the Legacy Page Builder interface disabled.

For block pages, use Notification for new messages or POM Shortcode to retain raw Legacy content. The native Shortcode block may preformat enclosed HTML before the shortcode runs.
