web_a_z_feed Shortcode

The web_a_z_feed shortcode renders an alphabetical index of published content using a saved query and a shared item template. It uses the same live renderer as the A–Z Feed block.

The attributes below match the current Page Builder controls and public output. Use raw syntax only for reviewed content that cannot be maintained through the visual controls.

The Page Builder offers its original query, base, columns, template and class controls. Additional attributes above are available to reviewed shortcode content and the native block.

The first shortcode group for each Latin letter or digit preserves its existing #a-z-A–#a-z-Z or #a-z-0–#a-z-9 destination. Repeated groups use unique destinations, and each index's navigation links to its own groups. Native blocks use unique destinations throughout.

Only published, password-free public content permitted by the current content-type rules contributes groups. There is no pagination or term-query mode. Source order is preserved inside groups. Other Unicode initials remain available, and symbols or empty titles use #. Missing explicit queries and empty selections render nothing; missing templates use unlinked titles.

The existing web-a-z-feed stylesheet is conditional. Masonry/image-hover layouts additionally use Isotope, Wide slider uses the shared Carousel, and Full screen uses the FullPage runtime. Selected templates retain their own conditional dependencies. Letter navigation itself uses ordinary links and needs no additional script.

Customize the stylesheet

Administrators can replace the complete A-Z feed stylesheet under Settings → POM Theme → Advanced → Custom CSS → Shortcode CSS assets → A-Z feed. Saving publishes an optimized per-site copy but does not add the stylesheet to pages that do not contain the shortcode. Reverting returns the existing web-a-z-feed handle to the current a-z-feed.min.css supplied by the theme. The query, loop base, columns, result template, and rendered post groups remain unchanged.

Verification

Test web_a_z_feed with populated, empty and long result sets, and verify the selected source belongs to the current site. Pay particular attention to query and base.
