Understand traffic statistics

Pomatio records a simple visit count for supported multisite networks. Site administrators can use the dashboard summary to compare recent activity, while network administrators can review every site's monthly totals from one screen.

Before you begin

  • Sign in to the WordPress dashboard of the site you want to review.
  • Use an Administrator account to see the site traffic summary.
  • Use a Network Administrator account to open the all-sites report.
  • The traffic tools are available only on supported Pomatio multisite networks.

Review one site's traffic

  1. Open Dashboard in the intended site.
  2. Find Visits summary in the Pomatio welcome panel.
  3. Review the three monthly cards. Each card compares the month with the same month in the previous year.
  4. Review Last 24 months to compare the latest 12 months with the preceding 12-month period.

The cards show the current value, the previous year's value and whether traffic increased, decreased or remained level. A month without recorded visits appears as zero.

Review all sites in the network

  1. Open My Sites → Network Admin → Dashboard.
  2. Select All sites traffic stats from the network menu.
  3. Find the site by its ID or URL.
  4. Read across the row to compare its monthly totals for the latest 24-month window.

Monthly totals above 15,000 visits are highlighted in red to make higher-volume sites easier to identify.

Understand what is counted

The counter records page loads observed by the site, including public visits, automated traffic, internal traffic and ordinary WordPress administration views. These totals can therefore differ from an analytics product that applies consent rules, bot filtering, session logic or other exclusions.

Use this screen for consistent month-to-month comparison inside Pomatio. Use your dedicated analytics product when you need audience attribution, campaigns, sessions or filtered human traffic.

Verify the result

  • Confirm that the dashboard heading identifies the intended site.
  • Confirm that the latest month appears in both the dashboard summary and the network report.
  • Allow for new page loads to be recorded before comparing the two views.

Troubleshooting

  • The traffic summary is absent: confirm that you are an Administrator and that the site belongs to a supported Pomatio multisite network.
  • The network report is unavailable: only Network Administrators can open it.
  • The total differs from another analytics tool: this is expected when the other tool filters bots, administration views or other traffic.
