Use the Widgets and Menus screens

Pomatio keeps the WordPress Widgets and Menus screens focused by hiding the secondary action link that WordPress may place beside each screen title. The policy changes only that title-area presentation and does not remove editing capabilities or the controls inside either screen.

Before you begin

Sign in to the intended site's dashboard with a role that can manage the relevant appearance settings. The available screens and controls still depend on the active theme and your WordPress capabilities.

Work with widgets

  1. Open Appearance → Widgets.
  2. Use the widget areas and controls shown within the screen.
  3. Save the intended changes.
  4. Open a public page that uses the affected widget area and verify the result.

Work with menus

  1. Open Appearance → Menus.
  2. Select or create the intended menu using the controls within the screen.
  3. Assign its display location where required.
  4. Save the menu and verify it on the public site.

The action link beside the page title remains hidden on these two screens. Similar title actions elsewhere in WordPress are unaffected.

Troubleshooting

  • A screen is unavailable: confirm that the active theme supports the feature and that your account has the required capability.
  • A control is missing inside the screen: the Pomatio policy hides only the title-area action link; check the active theme, plugins and your role.
  • A saved change is not visible publicly: confirm the active widget area or menu location and clear any relevant page cache.
